Friends, we have confirmed that contractors are permitted to access cottages for service and work purposes. That would include plumbers who are turning your water on. Our suggestion is you call the person who you usually have do that and make your arrangements.
If there are questions from your contractor, have them get in touch directly with Kirk Roote (kirk.roote@saugeen.org) (519.797.3039)
Thanks for your patience.
What if we turn our own water on?
Not a problem as long as it is on June 1st or later.

Hi, I want to get this straight, are plumbers allowed to access our cottage and turn the water on. We do know that the owners of the cottage are NOT allowed on the property. Could you please confirm, are plumbers and other trades now as of today allowed onto the land, thank you
Yes, plumbers are allowed to be on Band land now.
Cottagers are welcome on June 1 or later.
Hello. Got a question. If I did my own winterized. Am I allowed to go up this weekend only to open the water system. But I will not stay past 5pm. No over night stuff. Is this allowed. Thanks
Sorry, but no.
Can our contractor go up and complete some bathroom repairs that were started last fall? If so, are non local contractors allowed before June 1st?
Sorry, local contractors only for now.
Are we allowed family visits at our cottage from those in our social bubble ?
Yes, as long as it’s no more than 10 people.
