There is a whole section in your lease that describes this.
Any one receive their leases yet? With only 4 weeks away to pay them, they aren’t giving us much notice to come up with all the extra cash needed with the increases. Stressful to say the least.
We do not believe any leases have been sent out yet. The Band and Indigenous Services Canada have been working on the results of the March 5 designation vote. Once those have been finalized and approved, we then expect the leases and lease invoices to be sent to cottage owners.
As soon as we have been notified about any of this we will post the details on the website.
Thank you but isn’t it kind of close to the due dates as it isn’t giving much time to cottage owners to come up with the extra cash for the increases in only 4 weeks. The 2nd designation vote hasn’t taken place yet so a little concerning that the leases will be sent out to close to the due date.

These are all things the Band will take into consideration. Please remember that Indigenous Services Canada has been in the mix and things take time to sort out and be approved. The Band will no doubt take the delay into account. However the Lease already states that payments received up to 30 days past the due date will not attract a late fee as is also the case with the Service fee.
